Dr. Tew obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2007 and served as a dental officer in the Ministry of Health, Malaysia from 2007-2011.

Subsequently, she joined UKM as a clinical tutor for two years and pursued her masters in Prosthodontics at the Prince Philip Dental Hospital, University of Hong Kong (HKU) in year 2015.

She was later admitted as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Prosthodontics) in 2016. She is currently a Lecturer and Clinical Specialist in Prosthodontics with UKM.
